From £675 for two hours: about HK$7,000 (US$890). Its published workflow uses face swapping plus AI background replacement. Face swapping inserts a guest’s face into an existing character or template; it does not by itself regenerate the whole portrait. In PONS.ai’s assessment, this older approach can look less cohesive than a well-designed full generative portrait, especially where the face, hair, body and lighting do not align. Technical ranking: what does the AI actually personalise?
This ranks creative scope, from most to least event-specific. It is PONS.ai’s editorial framework, based on published provider descriptions, not an independent model benchmark. A provider may sell several tiers. Image quality still depends on the model, capture, art direction and testing.
1. Truly personalised generative themes
A new theme is developed for your event: guest identity, scene, clothing, palette and campaign details are designed as a coherent image, with approved samples and revisions. PONS.ai offers this scope; Mr. Photobooth explicitly includes one custom generative theme. Verify actual generated imagery, not just a logo, frame or booth wrap.
2. Preset generative themes
The AI renders each guest into a scene or style chosen from an existing library. The portrait can be unique while the creative concept remains shared across events. PartyMojo’s standard four-theme package and 360 Booth Thailand’s library-based package belong here by advertised scope; bespoke themes require a separately confirmed scope.
3. Face swaps
The core operation replaces the face in an existing character or template. A generated background can be added, but this alone does not establish a fully bespoke generative portrait. Snap & Slay and Pixel Media explicitly advertise face swaps. PONS.ai considers face-swap-only output a dated creative option for premium brand activations: mismatched face, hair, body or lighting can produce inferior aesthetics. This is an aesthetic assessment of the approach, not a measured claim that every provider output is worse.
Unclassified means the public page does not establish enough technical detail to assign a tier. Ask whether it generates the full image, adapts presets or swaps a face, and request samples made for your event. A custom border is branding, not evidence of a custom AI theme.
